CARROUSEL®2000 The CARROUSEL®2000 is the successor of the original CARROUSEL® when there is a more stringent N-removal and/or P-removal requirement. Nitrogen removal: The difference with the conventional CARROUSEL® is the additional anoxic zone (by some called the 'ear') within the CARROUSEL® system in which flow is fed by means of internal re-circulation achieved through a unique hydraulic design. This 'ear' is designed as an integral part of the CARROUSEL® and therefore additional piping and pumps are not needed. CARROUSEL®2000, Artist impression Phosphorus removal: The basic CARROUSEL® process is able to achieve phosphorus contents that are within general accepted environmental rules. However, in case discharge limits get more stringent, the combination with anaerobic treatment the CARROUSEL®2000 is the ultimate solution for BOD, Nitrogen and Phosphorus removal.
