MBR-CARROUSEL®

The MBR-CARROUSEL® is the latest and most advanced development of the CARROUSEL® oxidation ditch system. Application ranges from the treatment of domestic sewage to a wide range of industrial wastewaters. In the MBR-CARROUSEL® two components can be distinguished: The CARROUSEL® system, where the biological treatment takes place and the Membrane section, where a very effective separation between sludge and treated wastewater is established.

The driving force behind the development of the MBR-CARROUSEL® is two-fold. In the first place it greatly reduces the required land area, because the space consuming final clarifiers are no longer required. Secondly, an improved effluent quality is achieved, with almost complete removal of suspended and colloidal solids, which offers great potential for reuse of wastewater.
